A Cup of Tea

Sun rise, Bird flies,
Rays of light open my eyes,
Copper kettle whistles and lay,
Signaling the beginning of the day,
A stream of steaming water,
Milk and cubes of sugar,
Smells the brew,
Make me feel new,
Jerk my head up to see,
A cup of tea,
And sip away….
The start of new day….
A life of bliss – I would say…
Hot and exciting,
Soft and comforting.
Give me the energy,
Refreshes the memory,
Keep me fit and healthy,
The sweet warmth fills the heart,
And also medicates most every part.
At anytime in the day,
Anyone feels sad and blue,
And have no clue,
Sit down and have a cup of tea,
With friends or family!
